Wedding Crashers, the city’s best wedding fair for couples seeking one-of-a-kind nuptials, returns on Sunday, March 10, 2013 with over 50 incredible wedding vendors—our largest selection yet.  Whether your vision involves a food truck, a raw bar, Brooklyn-inspired invites, handcrafted rings, an indie rock cover band or a sustainably-farmed bouquet, we tightly curate Wedding Crashers to showcase the most original vendors in New York.

Creative designers, photographers, planners, DJs and caterers will fill The Green Building from noon am to 4 pm. Then we’ll put you in a vintage Checker Cab to the music showcase and afterparty from 3 to 6pm at the Bell House with 10 live wedding bands and ensembles including Red Hook Orchestra, Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents, and MIXTAPE: a cover band for hipsters.

Being able to hear so many bands in one place isn’t the only thing that makes Wedding Crashers the most exciting wedding fair in New York. We also take full advantage of the borough’s amazing and ever-expanding food scene. This year we’ll have 8 caterers and restaurants, from Pies ‘n’ Thighs to Naturally Delicious; 6 cake studios and confectioners including Elegantly Iced and COOLHAUS; and 5 food trucks, from Red Hook Lobster Truck to Mexicue. Plus, we’ll be pouring complimentary Brooklyn Brewery Local One and bubbly courtesy Heights Chateau.

Tickets are on sale now. General admission is $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and includes admission to the (“anti”) wedding band showcase and after party. You can also purchase individual tickets ($10 adv/$15 door) just for the showcase, where guests will also find a raw bar courtesy Brooklyn Oyster Party, light bites from Van Alst Kitchen and Saucy by Nature, and treats from S’amore.

Prepare to be inspired. Check out our vendors’ links below and our Pinterest board of vendor photos, and get ready to have a ton of fun with your wedding planning!

The link to The Bell House has no information that on can see on The Wedding Crashers event. Can you tell me if I am not seeing something or what the price of the tickets are?

You didn’t really try very hard to make the gay couples who are getting married feel very welcome – according to the blurb on ticketweb: “The fair is followed by a fashion show after party at another premiere Brooklyn venue, The Green Building, that will appeal to the bride and groom.”

Then I clicked through to this page for more information, but found little to change the feeling that this is mostly aimed at straight couples. Given your demographic, why would you not be more aware of this?

If gay couples are welcomed – and maybe they are not, really – I think you have to give some indication of that – it is never just assumed. And at the very least, keep your language gender neutral!

    Thanks.

Thanks for the tip LeftOut–we do not want any gay couples to feel left out! We apologize for not being more sensitive in our wording. The fair is 100% gay friendly and will be inspiring to all who come…
