The Brooklyn Book Festival, that amazing gift of literary goodness that comes each September, returns on Sunday with more readings and panels with incredible authors than you can possibly see. Jennifer Eagan, Larry McMurtry, Téa Obreht, Tom Perrotta–if you have an author crush, chances are you can indulge it at the festival, which takes place at various sites around Borough Hall Plaza from 10am to 6pm. The biggest problem the day poses is choosing between two great, concurrent panels–like at 4 do you see Téa Obreht and Myla Goldberg discuss “Truth Versus Memory,” or do you attend “Obama and the Popular Imagination,” moderated by Politico’s (and Ditmas Park Blogger) Ben Smith? To make your decisions harder, every panel is free, even the ticketed ones, though you’ll need to pick tickets up at the festival info booths on the Plaza at least an hour before the panel begins.
