Narrative Know-How

Would be stand-ups and Moth Story Slam participants take note: Brooklyn Skillshare, a very cool community-based education group, is offering a class at 7:30pm on Tuesday called “How to be a Great Storyteller and Other Useful and Humorous Public Speaking Techniques.” Two local raconteurs, Kerri Doherty and Andy Ross, will lead the free one-hour tutorial on the art of good storytelling at the Tea Lounge. After you learn how to craft the perfect plot arc, you’ll be provided with a list of local open mics and storytelling shows so you can put your new skills to the test in front of a live audience. We’re willing to bet that at least a handful of you made a New Year’s resolution that might be addressed by attending this event, so get to it!
