Bring Out Your Inner Beast

By

Spring. Time to break out of monotonous winter workouts and flee the treadmill and elliptical machine. But to where? There are plenty of outdoor bootcamps in Brooklyn, but only one Beastanetics. What? Beastanetics. Designed by Tim Haft, the mad fitness genius behind Punk Rope, Beastanetics is an interval training program using the Tabata Protocol–super short, super intense bursts of activity. Beastanetics is equipment-free, consisting entirely of body weight exercises like mountain climbers and squat jumps, and the fitness results are fast and furious. And, Haft makes his sessions as intensely fun and friendly as they are strenuous. His beasts encourage each other through the workouts–this is not an intimidating gym scene. Intrigued? Haft is hosting free Beastanetics in McCarren Park this week, Monday, March 26 through Thursday, March 29 at 8am and 9:30am. Eight-week sessions, at the same times and place, will begin the following week. Register here, and become a beast!
