Delicate Steve plays tonight at 285 Kent Ave.

We caught Delicate Steve opening for The Kills last February and were blown away by the big sound coming out of such a slight person. True to title, frontman Steve Marion is a fragile looking thing, but his sophomore album Positive Force is definitely worth a listen. He’s playing tonight with Total Slacker, Celestial Shore and Jason Bartell of Fang Island at 285 Kent Ave. Tickets are $10 and the show starts at 8pm.

Hilary Clinton holds a special place in our hearts, and while we’ll have to wait a bit longer for her own talking tour, tonight you can catch some of her kin speaking at BAM. President Clinton and Chelsea Clinton are participating in a talk with Edward Norton at BAM’s Peter Jay Sharp Building at 7pm. Tickets range from $50–$2,500 with the procedes going to The Clinton Foundation.

If catching up with the Clintons isn’t in the cards for you tonight or you’re feeling more artsy fartsy, head to Greenlight Bookstore in Fort Greene for a crash course on jam making from Laena McCarthy. The founder of Anarchy in a Jar is doing a canning demonstration and discussing her book, Jam On: The Craft of Canning Fruit, tonight at 7pm.
