Fresh off a riveting set of shows at Austin’s SXSW, Metz embarked on a North American tour that hits Brooklyn’s Shea Stadium this Tuesday for an all-ages show. (Even though they have a show booked at Bowery Ballroom the following evening, a band called Metz could not resist playing a club called Shea Stadium.) The Sub-Pop band pays homage to bands like Nation of Ulysses, Jesus Lizard, Mudhoney and Nirvana, using distortion as an instrument and screams for melodies.
