If my “promotions”  inbox in Gmail is to be believed, the holiday season is already officially upon us. Get in the mood at the Fourth Annual Holiday Spirits Bazaar, taking place this Saturday at Invisible Dog. Top-notch local bartenders will be mixing a variety of holiday-appropriate drinks (think punches, nogs and wassails) for you to enjoy in a “rustic winter wonderland” setting. A panel of booze experts will be on hand to pick the winning drink in a friendly punch-off, and guests can voice their own opinions in a separate people’s choice competition. Mable’s Smokehouse and Brooklyn Farmacy will have pork sliders and pie available to ensure that no one gets too tipsy, and there will be a silent auction of cocktail-themed art and photography. In keeping with the true spirit of the holidays, a portion of the proceeds from each $50 ticket will benefit the Children’s Aid Society, and attendees are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy for a needy child. –KH
