If you give a man a fish dinner, he’ll eat for an evening, but if you teach a man to make his own meal, he’ll be able to prepare a pretty sweet, three-course seafood dinner of which any pescetarian could be proud. Not exactly the age-old adage, but it’ll do, because Brooklyn Kitchen is hosting a seasonal seafood cooking class at Gotham West in Manhattan on Sunday that will teach you how to source seafood and prepare a three-course meal, after which you’ll be able to create a classic ceviche, shuck oysters and leave well fed, following a dinner and wine pairing from Vine Wine. Chef Rienne Martinez will share her favorite fish recipes and tips, and the two-hour class, dinner and booze will only set you back $85 bucks. That’s what we call the catch of the day.
