Third Place
Neighborhood: Greenwood
Designer: Emily Gorski
Designer’s notes: I choose the neighborhood deemed Greenwood for my flag because I live there and love it. Greenwood is nestled in between Park Slope South and Sunset Park in Brooklyn, it is mostly characterized by the historic Green-Wood Cemetery. My flag represents the entrance arches of the Cemetery, which I pass frequently. It also represents an important permanent resident of Greenwood–the Argentinian Quaker Parrot! They nest near and in the Cemetery and are found all over the neighborhood.

these flags all violate the rules of flag design I learned here:
too may colors, too many words, too many tiny graphics

It really would be groovy to at least get to see all of the flag entries. I presently live in Indiana, but my heart is still with my BKLYN borough.
I’d love to see the design for Flatbush! Can we see?
Bayridge should have won .is the prettiest.
I love my neighborhood of Prospect Heights and I truly believe this flag captures its energy and soul. I wish it was available to purchase and so I could fly it. Bravo Erich!
Hi, are these for sale? I would love to get a print of the Bay Ridge flag and give it to my mom for Christmas. Is there anyway I can get in contact with the artist?
Flags? These looks like finalists for greeting cards.
I can see why they didn’t print them.
Whilst all attractive, only the winning flag is anything like a flag.
Surprised so many forgot flags are simple, very simple. Look at Japan’s, Switzerland’s, Canada’s.
