Runner-up
Neighborhood:
Greenpoint
Designer
: Michele Rosenthal
Designer’s note: I lived in Greenpoint for 7.5 years before moving to Crown Heights just last month, so this contest is a little bittersweet for me. Greenpoint will always be my first New York City home, and the landmarks depicted here include my favorite park, my favorite brunch spot, my favorite record store, my favorite bar, and the city’s largest wastewater treatment plant.

It really would be groovy to at least get to see all of the flag entries. I presently live in Indiana, but my heart is still with my BKLYN borough.

I love my neighborhood of Prospect Heights and I truly believe this flag captures its energy and soul. I wish it was available to purchase and so I could fly it. Bravo Erich!

Hi, are these for sale? I would love to get a print of the Bay Ridge flag and give it to my mom for Christmas. Is there anyway I can get in contact with the artist?

I can see why they didn’t print them.

Whilst all attractive, only the winning flag is anything like a flag.

Surprised so many forgot flags are simple, very simple. Look at Japan’s, Switzerland’s, Canada’s.
