Two of our favorite topics, craft beer and sustainability, intersect at a forum called Shoetown to Brewtown: Craft Brewing Meets Green Development, which takes place at 7:30pm at Brooklyn Brewery. Scientist Paul Mankiewicz of the Gaia Institute will lead off the discussion about how local breweries can lead the movement to develop regional sustainable industry, but guests are encouraged to take the floor from there. Dinner and beer will be included in the cost of a $40 ticket, proceeds from which will benefit the Gaia Institute, an environmental organization based in the Bronx.
