There is only one place for a self-respecting brewhead to be this Saturday, and that’s the Brooklyn Waterfront Craft & Specialty Beer Festival, an outdoor tasting event featuring 150 limited release and seasonal selections from 75 top breweries across the world. General admission to either the afternoon or evening session, which costs $55 if you purchase a ticket in advance, includes 2 ½ hours of unlimited tasting, a souvenir tasting glass, access to seminars called Women In Craft and Urban Home Brewing 101, and live music. Pricier packages get you extra tasting time and complimentary food, but all attendees will be able to buy snacks from a sensational lineup of local vendors. The weather on Saturday is supposed to be spectacular, and the festival boasts the stunning Manhattan skyline as its backdrop, so you probably won’t be sorry if you head on over and have a beer (or ten).
