Business and Pleasure: Writers and Editors Night at Brooklyn Brewery

By

Calling all writers, freelancers and editors! Are you looking for new writers with fresh ideas? Do you have a hot story you want to pitch in person, beer in hand? Want to finally meet someone you’ve been emailing with for months? Or just get out of the house and talk shop with like-minded folk? Come to Writers and Editors Night at Brooklyn Brewery on Wednesday, February 23. The evening will start off with a panel of editors from print and online publications around the city. Brooklyn Based senior editor Annaliese Griffin will moderate, asking editors what they’re looking for in freelance pitches, and what writers should and should never do to grab their attention. After the panel there will be plenty of time to chat over $4 Brooklyn brews. Confirmed panelists include Rachel Wharton from Edible Brooklyn and Manhattan, Adam Rathe, arts and entertainment editor at New York Press, Johnny Diamond, Editor-in-Chief of the L Magazine, and of course, the Brooklyn Based editorial team. The evening is $5 at the door, which includes one free beer. RSVP here.

Writers and Editors Night is our first Business and Pleasure event, a series of workshops and networking opportunities for indie businesses and freelancers, hosted by Brooklyn Based at Brooklyn Brewery.
