Been to Franklin Street lately (or ever)? We’ve planned the perfect day for you to explore one of Greenpoint’s coolest blocks. Head there Saturday May 15, from 12-7 p.m., for complimentary Brooklyn Brewery beer and incredible deals at over a dozen shops and restaurants (listed below). Then stay for our after-party at t.b.d. to celebrate three years of Brooklyn Based!

During The Total Franklin St. Immersion [TFSI] you’ll get to know the nabe AND support local Greenpoint shops and restaurants while under the influence of Brooklyn Brewery’s seasonal brews and special ales. The Diamond will be pouring half pints of Brooklyner Weisse; Black Rabbit will serve East India Pale Ale, and t.b.d. will serve Brooklyn Summer Ale (one complimentary glass per person at each).

To join in on the fun, you need a free TFSI card, which you can pick up at three locationsBetween 11 am and noon, get a card at Champion Coffee, 1108 Manhattan Ave. near Clay, from 11-12, and get a head start on the 30% off sale at Hayden-Harnett, who’s opening an hour early just for the Immersion.

Between noon and 2pm get your cards at The Diamond (43 Franklin St. at Calyer) or Black Rabbit (93 Greenpoint Ave. near Franklin), where cards will be available from 12-2.

The cards will entitle you to the deals, and possibly a free Brooklyn Brewery tote filled with gifts and coupons from Greenpoint stores including Fred FlarePip-Squeak ChapeauIn God We TrustDalaga, Cato’s Army & Navy, and Kill Devil Hill. You just have to make 6 stops on the crawl, and be among the first 100 to bring your card to t.b.d. (224 Franklin St. at Green, tbdbrooklyn.com). We’ll also select a random person who tweets about the crawl using the hashtag #TFSI to win a complimentary bottle of Brooklyn Brewery Sorachi Ace.

If we happen to run out of TFSI cards, many shops, bars and restaurants will still offer deals, so come on down no matter what. (Just say, “I don’t have a card, can I still get a deal?” with your best pout. That should work.) And if you were planning on taking the G Train, which is only running via shuttle service, check out all your transportation options here: http://brooklynbased.com/everything/how-to-get-to-franklin-st-for-the-tfsi/

After the crawl, join us at 6 pm for Brooklyn Based’s birthday party at t.b.d. (224 Franklin St. at Green, tbdbrooklyn.com). Meat Hook sausages will be on the grill, and we’ll be pouring $3 pints of Brooklyn Brewery Summer Ale and passing out free Robicelli’s cupcakes to celebrate Brooklyn Based’s 3rd year.

See you on Franklin Street!
