Friday Night: I went with a few friends to see Fast Five in IMAX at Kips Bay, it was amazing. It had absurd/hilarious action, people yelling at the screen, high-fiving each other…the audience burst out into applause five different times during the film. Totally surreal but awesome, and I want to buy tickets to 6 Fast 6 Furious RIGHT NOW. Then we went to Failte, an Irish bar right near the theater, to watch the Red Wings-Sharks playoff game (I was with two Sharks fans). Sharks won, and I beat three random dudes at pool. Took a cab back to Brooklyn and went to sleep.

Saturday: I spent most of the day alternating between catching up on Parks and Recreation episodes and napping on my couch. Then, I stopped by Barcade briefly to see a few people. I rode over into Bushwick for a rooftop party at my friend’s house. Biked home around 3 am and went to sleep.

Sunday: I went to my friend James’s house to film a few scenes for a video his band is making. They set up a green screen in his living room and I had to pretend to be at a rally with a bunch of other people. I’ll probably win an Oscar for my brilliant performance, which was VERY good and natural. I then met up with a few friends at McCarren park and enjoyed the weather there for an hour or so. I headed to Berry Park to have drinks and food on the roof deck for another couple of hours. Went home for a little bit to clean up my apartment and do some laundry, then met a friend for a quick drink at Gypsy Bar. The Osama Bin Laden news broke while we were there, so we went to my house to watch Obama’s press conference. And that’s pretty much the entire weekend.

Rating: 4.5. I would definitely do it again, given the chance. The weather was pretty close to perfect, I got to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in a while, and give an oscar-worthy performance.

Catch Jim’s next comedy shows: Midnight Run at The Creek and Cave on 5/21, and Crappy Cinema Council at Coco66 on 5/22.
