Fear for Fish

By

Ever wonder how your local sushi restaurant never seems to run out of salmon or tuna? Tuesday’s installment of the Slow Food NYC Book Club features Paul Greenberg, whose book Four Fish contemplates the future of those two fish, along with bass and cod, in a world where demand far outstrips the natural supply. Greenberg, who’s an angler as well as an author, provides an intelligent explanation of the problem, as well as where it could lead us if steps aren’t taken to ensure that wild fish aren’t pushed to extinction. Greenberg will be discussing his book at BookCourt, where any book club member who’d like to get a jump on his or her reading can pick up a copy at 20% off (or 30% off as long as it remains on the bestseller list.)
