Dan Delaney of Vendr.tv has a new online project–an email newsletter called Eater’s Digest (cute!) that compiles all of NYCs weekly food events into one, clean place. It’s like a souped-up NonsenseNYC–events are listed up top in quick-link form, then in detail below. If you got last week’s email, for instance, you’d know out about the Joy of Cheese beer and cheese pairing that’s happening tonight at d.b.a. or the Taste of Red Hook benefit on Wednesday. Manhattan food events are served up too, like Alton Brown in conversation with John Hodgman at the Union Sq. Barnes and Noble or the Taste of Greenmarket, both tomorrow night. Sign up to get this coming week’s Eater’s Digest, delivered on Thursday.
Taylor Cocalis & Dorothy Neagle just “officially” launched Good Food Jobs–a site for anyone looking to make a career switch into food, or find a better gig. It’s been live since April, so there are plenty of good jobs on there already, from places like Momofuko, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, even the Monterrey Bay Aquarium.
Liza de Guia’s online epicurean series “food. curated.” is coming to TV! It premieres this Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7pm on NYC life, Channel 25. (Congrats Liza!!!!)
It’s been around for a few months now but NonaBrooklyn offers a ton of local food coverage, including previews and reviews of events, special deals and profiles of local artisans and restaurants (who in turn often post their own events to the site). Nona also has a new contributor, Colleen Kane, who we love.
