Two-Step Theater

WILLIAMSBURG: Hard to believe that it’s already been five years since 2005’s boundary-breaking Brokeback Mountain. This month, the Laboratory Theater pays tribute to Annie Proulx’ cowboys, as well as William S. Burroughs’ 1983 gay gunslinger novel The Place of Dead Roads, in Git Along Lil Doggies. The dance/play/video performance tells an impressionistic tale of outlaws and “sex-magic” set against Marlboro commercials and early-20th-century country music. The surreal show begins tonight and runs Thursdays-Saturdays through October 30 at Williamsburg’s Brick Theater.
