Stories in Song

FORT GREENE In Brooklyn, everyone has a story. Friday and Saturday at BAM, Stew will tell his in song form in Brooklyn OMNIBUS, with his band the Negro Problem, co-creator Heidi Rodewald, and musicians like Joe McGinty. Stew and Rodewald, best known for their Tony-winning Broadway show (and Spike Lee film) Passing Strange, are both recent migrants to Brooklyn, but with songs about gentrification and the G train, they’re already well-versed in the county we call home. The show, a world premiere, runs through Saturday, and you can get 25% off tickets if you use the code 12657, by Oct. 22. (Good for 4 tickets, but not valid for day of show purchases.)
