Mash-up Dance-off

By

GOWANUS AND GREENPOINT Girl Talk’s not the only mash-up game in town. The Hood Internet, whose hundreds of free mixes have been popping up online for the past several years, do what Greg Gillis does, only way under the radar. Exhibit A: Their Friday night gig at Littlefield hasn’t sold out yet and is only $10. Their club-friendly fusions of indie and hip-hop guarantee a dance party. And for the serious party girl (and guy), the monthly Mondo party  (which we featured here) is popping up at Coco66 this Friday with The Secret History ($5 cover), and right next door at the Bar at 68, Treehouse will be shaking its branches with Tim “Love” Lee, formerly of Katrina and the Waves, and owner of Tummy Touch Records (Groove Armada). RSVP to get in for $3!
