Spiked Out

DUMBO Do the Right Thing is one of the quintessential Brooklyn films, and Spike Lee is a quintessential Brooklyn character (just ask Absolut), so it’s only natural that we’d be excited about Thursday’s event at the powerHouse Arena. Twenty years after the film’s release, Spike Lee and writer Jason Matloff have published Spike Lee: Do The Right Thing, an oral and visual history of the film and its cultural impact. On Thursday evening, Lee will be appearing at the bookstore for his first-ever signing in New York; if you’ve ever wanted to get close to the man without being a Knicks player, this is your chance.
