PARK SLOPE GAGA–the style of movement developed by choreographer Ohad Naharin for the Batsheva Dance Company–has offered classes to dancers and non-dancers alike all over the world (and Manhattan), but this year they’ve expanded to Brooklyn. In Naharin’s own words, GAGA is about “healing your body, and finding pleasure and joy in movement.” It’s a bit vague, sure, but a friend went this past Sunday and was hooked on the free-form, free-wheeling spirit of the class. They’re $13 a pop (or $10 with a class card), and offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 8-9 at Congregation Beth Elohim in the Slope, and are coming to Company XIV’s Studio in Gowanus. Details are on the Batsheva site.
