Not in Starbucks Anymore

DUMBO Aerialists, male strippers and burlesque stars are just a few of the unexpected performers in “Friends of Dorothy: An Oz Cabaret,” a Fringe Festival favorite being remounted at Galapagos Thursday and Friday. In this production, Dorothy, played by “Rita MenWeep,” is a “simple barista” at Starbucks, and her boss, the Wicked Bitch, throws her iPod down the toilet, filled with her beloved Toto songs. A desperate attempt to retrieve it sends her to an even stranger land of pasties, glitter and vaudeville. The gay party GUMBO follows the show, and audience members are welcome. Doors 7pm, $20.
