BROOKLYN HEIGHTS Turn your happy hour historical with Thursday’s talk at the Brooklyn Historical Society. Urban Oyster guides David Naczycz and Cindy Vandenbosch will be presenting “Brewed in Brooklyn: A History of Fermenting Barley in New York’s Favorite Borough,” a talk that covers the importance of beer to the borough throughout the years. To head off any cravings during all the hops talk, the event will be preceded by a Brooklyn Brewery beer and cheese reception that comes free with admission.
