GOWANUS The Textile Arts Center’s current exhibition, Missing/Missed, features artists’ conceptions of whatever single thing they feel is their “missing piece,” as depicted using fiber art. On Monday, the exhibition is holding a video evening, which features presentations and discussions of the five video art pieces in the show. Brooklynites are represented in the show, including Dempsey Rice, whose piece “Forget Me Nots,” focuses on remembering, and Elisabeth Smolarz, who will be showing “You and Me”; Inge Hoonte’s “I’d Like To” includes video from a video chat, while Ed Schexnayder will be sharing his abandoned house-shot “Video Pieces” and Maria Sprowls-Cervantes’ memory-focused “.silences.”
