Talk Amongst Yourselves

By

FORT GREENE The intriguing “Walls and Bridges” series, presented by French cultural institute Villa Gillet throughout the city Jan. 26 through Feb. 4, brings authors, philosophers, historians and other scholars together in round-table talks about heady, and sometimes quirky topics. On Sunday at 1pm at Greenlight Books, Tin House editor Rob Spillman will moderate a panel of authors including Rick Moody on the interplay between fiction and philosophy. And at 2pm at the Brooklyn Flea, Cabinet magazine is co-presenting a discussion that will brush upon every arcane facet of hair, from the awesome styles of 80s hair bands to shaved women and the symbolic loss of power in the French revolution. Look for the speakers among the booths, seated at tables designed by artist Gareth Long. Find details on every event here.
