WILLIAMSBURG Fatty ‘Cue, Lupa, Vesta, and Bamonte’s are among the skilled participants in this year’s Meatball Slapdown at The Brooklyn Kitchen, from 6-10pm. The famous Franks (of Frankies), Amanda Hesser of Food52.com, Ted Allen of Chopped, Garrett Oliver of The Brooklyn Brewery and Amy Eddings of WNYC are the judges for this benefit featuring Brooklyn Brewery beer, bread from Roberta’s, and meatballs galore. Tickets are $100 and will fund educational programs at The Brooklyn Grange and Brooklyn Kitchen, for public school students to learn cooking, butchery, and farming.
