GOWANUS Just when you thought you might be sick of the hearts-and-flowers ambiance around Valentine’s Day, Littlefield’s Love Hangover makes songs about love sound appealing again. The annual event, now on its sixth iteration in Brooklyn, pairs local musicians into duos who then perform short sets of songs about love. Notable names include Anders Parker, who performed previously as part of Varnaline, Gob Iron, and Space Needle, who will be singing alongside Mascott’s Kendall Meade, and Caitlin Cary, once of Whiskeytown, who will be performing with Matt Douglas, her partner in The Small Ponds—though we’re sure they’re far from being the only successful pairings of the evening.
