Booze Benefit

By

In a city like New York, sometimes it’s tough to choose between doing good and having a good time. Thankfully, on Friday, the City Reliquary eliminates the need to choose with their benefit, cleverly titled “Booze and Schmooze with the City Reliquary: A Warming Winter Benefit, featuring Libations and Dissertations.” The fundraiser, taking place at the Brooklyn Kitchen, will include drinks like the Breuckelen Distilling Company’s gin and tonic, the Richardson’s Ginger Lee, and wine from the Red Hook Winery, paired with conversations with the distillers, brewers, and experts behind them; New York nibbles from places like Saltie, Yonah Schimmel’s, and the Brooklyn Kitchen itself will help stave off any cocktail-related cravings. In addition to the food and drinks, DJ Sister Kate will be playing setting-appropriate tunes and Manhattan Borough Historian Michael Miscione will branch the learning out beyond just libations. And, as any child knows, the best part of any party is the goody bag – and every attendee will be receiving one.
