Looking for a low-key way to spend a Tuesday night? Tower of Song, Jennifer O’Connor’s monthly songwriters series at the Rock Shop, will be making its third appearance on Tuesday night. This month, the four singer/songwriters who will be discussing the craft of songwriting, playing their own music, and collaborating on new songs and covers include the country-tinged Laura Cantrell, perhaps the best known of the group, and Franklin Bruno, who’s collaborated with the Mountain Goats’ John Darnielle on a side project called The Extra Glenns and is the rare singer/songwriter who also holds a philosophy doctorate. Tim Bracy, formerly of the Mendoza Line, and Jennifer O’Connor herself round out the evening.
