The last time we saw a Christine Sciulli installation at Causey Contemporary, the gallery was still on Grand St., and she projected roving beams of light that moved magically across an intricate network of strings. Now, at Causey’s new, more spacious Wythe Ave. location, she’s continuing her planeSPACE series with a show titled Tangle, and this time she’s crafted her three-dimensional network out of vines, branches and grass picked from eastern Long Island. Her intent is to create “a dialogue between a projection and its transformation, challenging the perception of seemingly simple geometries.” You can get a glimpse of Sciulli’s captivating work from this short video, or you can visit Causey during the opening reception tonight from 6 to 9 pm. Tangle closes April 11.
