Do You Like Rock Music?

British Sea Power may be best-known for playing off-kilter venues like a slate mine in Cornwall and the Czech Embassy in London, but luckily for us Brooklynites, they’ll be bringing their bombastic live show to the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Tuesday. The band, who were Mercury-nominated in 2008 and headlined a stage at Reading and Leeds in 2010, never really made it that big in the US, but if anything could change that, it’s their new album Valhalla Dancehall, with its anthemic sounds and witty lyrics. They’ll be preceded by melodic Canadian-Italian rockers A Classic Education and a solo set by former British Sea Power bandmate and current Brakes leader Eamon Hamilton. Tickets are $15.
