We’d love to see Danny Boyle’s new production of Frankenstein at the National Theatre, but unfortunately that’d require a 3000-mile, $600 flight. This Thursday, catch the play live for the comparatively low cost of $23 as part of BAM’s National Theatre Live screenings; Jonny Lee Miller stars as the doctor in the visually exciting show. If you prefer your Frankenstein live and in person, Brooklyn’s Rabbit Hole Ensemble is in the middle of performances of Doctor Frankenstein’s Magical Creature, the second part in the group’s Frankenstein series. The show, equally enjoyable even if you haven’t seen the first part, features a female Doctor Frankenstein and a female monster; this time around, it’s told from the monster’s POV.
