Horsing Around

By

Though you wouldn’t know it from the weather recently, it’s finally spring. How do we know? On Saturday, one of Prospect Park’s best attractions is reopening for the season. The Prospect Park carousel, dating to 1912, was carved by famed carousel artist Charles Carmel, and features a lion and giraffe alongside a fleet of horses. For just $2, it’s a throwback to a simpler time. The carousel will remain open during the day Thursdays through Sundays until the end of the season on October 30. Also of note in the park on Saturday, the Prospect Park Zoo will be beginning its spring hours.
