On Monday night at Pete’s Candy Store, lecture series Open City Dialogue is pulling the curtain back on squatting with a talk on “the Once and Future Squatter.” The event features Matt Metzgar, director of the Lower East Side Squatter Homesteader Archive Project, and Peter Spagnulo, cofounder of the Project , poet, and experienced squatter; the pair will discuss squatting historically, specifically in the context of the 80s and 90s in the Lower East Side, as well as the relevance of squatting today.
