Once a month, Jalopy Theatre hosts the Steam Powered Hour, a stage show that combines comedy, art, and music and is emceed by New Yorker cartoonist Matthew Diffee. The show, which has been nicknamed “Hee Haw for People Who Hate Hee Haw,” has featured an array of local talent over the years. This week’s special Easter Evening edition boasts an impressive lineup, including music by Anniversary Party and Christ Eldridge of the Punch Brothers, and comedy by Comedy Central / MTV writer Roger Hailes; Liam McEneaney, who’s appeared on Comedy Central and VH1; and New Yorker writer Yoni Brenner. The show begins at 7pm and there is a $10 cover.
