No interest in The Hangover Part II? The Short Film Slam at Littlefield, sponsored by the King’s County Cinema Society, will provide you with the perfect antidote to the standard bloated Hollywood summer fare. For the cost of a $5 ticket, enjoy a handpicked sampling of recent shorts that represent the cutting edge in nontraditional, off-the-beaten-path film. Several of the shorts will be premiering in New York or Brooklyn, including D.W. Young’s Not Interested, which was featured at South by Southwest last year. Doors open at 7:30, and food and drinks will be available until the show goes on at 8:30.
