Every year the family-run, 10,000-square-foot Crest Hardware at 558 Metropolitan becomes the site of a six-week art show featuring over 100 works of art inspired by the supplies in their store, by artists near and as far as Germany. The kick-off to the show is the day-long bacchanal called Crest Fest, and this year, along with bands, DJs, food, drinks and design vendors from 1-7pm, the free event is held in conjunction with Northside Open Studios. Together they’re hosting a launch party at The End in Greenpoint featuring more bands, DJs and art installations from 7pm to midnight. Tickets are $5 in adv. and $7 at the door.
