Something I Ate

Food–where it comes from, where we purchase it, how we prepare it–is a subject that has seeped into every aspect of modern-day life, and art is no exception. Something I Ate examines the convergence of the two by asking artists to create works that relay their personal eating experience over the course of 7 days in a variety of mediums. They’ll be presented tonight along with music and more food at Kinfolk Studio at 90 Wythe Ave., where Sam Kim of skimkim foods will take their defining meal and translate it into a small bite or libation featuring Hendricks Gin & Asahi Beer, while Newyorkina will serve paletas (ice pops) using Solerno Blood Orange Liquer. Tickets are $30, on sale here.
