The Bard in Brooklynese

By

Thursday night, the Brave New World Repertory Theatre begins a four-day run of The Merry Wives of Windsor (Terrace), a reimagining of the classic  Shakespeare comedy set in mid-80s Brooklyn, complete with teased hair, a Falstaff who appears to be “connected,” and, of course, the unmistakable accent that put our borough on the map. Bring a picnic and a lawn chair to Our Lady’s Field of Holy Name Parish to join in the fun. All shows are free, and begin at 5pm on Thursday and Friday and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.
