Russian Dolls, the reality show about techno-loving, fur-wearing Russian-Americans in Brighton Beach, airs Thursday night at 10:30 on Lifetime. Some neighborhood leaders are bothered by the name–which refers to Russian escort services–and the fact that the show features the family of Michael Levitis, the Rasputin nightclub owner who is currently on three years probation for a corruption scandal. Despite the potential embarrassment, the show will go on. You could watch the premiere with the cast at Rasputin in fact–though it will set you back at least $100 per person. If that doesn’t deter you, an RSVP is required.
