Whether you find yourself reminiscing over your old flannel shirts or wishing you’d been older than the baby on the cover when Nevermind came out, tonight’s release party at powerHouse Arena will provide a rare chance to hear the story of grunge through the tales of those who were there. In Everybody Loves Our Town: An Oral History of Grunge, author and former Blender editor Mark Yarm captures the era through interviews with the people who lived through it, from musicians and producers to roadies and hangers-on; boldfaced names include Courtney Love, Chris Cornell, and members of bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains. Tonight, Yarm will be talking with Rolling Stone journalist and author Rob Sheffield about the book.
