Grab a rolling pin, some farmers’ market bounty, and your most ingenious flavor concept because Enid’s Annual Apple Pie Contest returns this Sunday. The rules are simple: all entries must have a crust and must contain apples. Beyond that, your imagination is the limit. A panel that includes last year’s winners, as well as personalities from Brooklyn Kitchen and Edible Brooklyn and a secret celebrity guest, will award prizes for “best crust,” “best looking,” and “general greatness.” Entrants and non-participants alike are free to enjoy apple fritters, sloppy joes, corndogs and drink specials. Please note that, to be eligible for consideration, pies must be delivered to Enid’s between 5-5:45pm.
