This Tuesday, discover a whole new side of vegetarian cooking at 61 Local. Fort Greene-based cookbook author Lukas Volger (who we’ll be featuring in next Tuesday’s email) is holding a book launch party for his new cookbook, Vegetarian Entrees that Won’t Leave You Hungry. The book features a diverse range of vegetarian mains that are filling and satisfying, from pad thai and saag paneer to zucchini-almond veggie burgers and spring vegetable paella. At the event, which will be overlapping with the weekly Local Roots CSA pick-up, Lukas will be providing samples of his delicious bulgur salad with kale and feta, as well as signing books sold at the event by Greenlight Bookstore. If the samples whet your appetite for more of Lukas’s cooking, there will also be menu specials made from Lukas’s recipes.
