Just in time for Halloween, the Old Stone House and experimental theater company Polybe + Seats presents Alice, or the Scottish Gravediggers. It’s the first time this 19th century melodrama by Rene-Charles Guilbert de Pixerecourt has been staged in English, and in the intimate setting of the Old Stone House, this play about a ghoulish real-life scandal involving murder, grave robbers, and the practice of selling body parts for medical research is sure to spook. Tickets for the 16-performance run, which begins Thursday at 8pm, are $18.
