Binge in the Bay

By

Despite what recent press might have you believe, Brooklyn has been a destination for diverse and delicious food long before Smorgasburg set up camp. This Thursday evening, celebrate the lively culinary scene that exists beyond the borders of Williamsburg and Park Slope at the inaugural Taste of Sheepshead Bay, a feast featuring offerings from 20 of Sheepshead Bay’s best restaurants. Beloved neighborhood Italian joint Il Fornetto is sponsoring the event, which showcases food from local staples like Randazzo’s Clam Bar, Jimmy’s Famous Heros, and Liman, which has the very cool distinction of being the first Turkish fish restaurant in the country. Tickets are $25 if you buy them here in advance, and $35 at the door, and the price includes live music, discounted drinks, door prizes, and, most importantly, a vast array of dishes to satisfy every palate.

This was an incredible night. The restaurants and food vendors prepared over 100 different dishes. Everyone was on their game. Even the so/so places sent out outstanding food.  If you didn’t come – you missed a great time.
