Local Roots, the CSA and occasional supper club run out of three locations throughout the borough, is currently accepting applications for its first-ever pop-up Thanksgiving CSA. Half and full shares are available in the full range of Thanksgiving bounty, from vegetables and turkey to apples and bread. By signing up, you’re not only guaranteeing yourself an extra-delicious holiday – you’ll also be supporting New York farms, like veggie provider the Rogowski Farm, who was hit hard by Irene and can use the additional support. You don’t need to be a current member of their CSA to share in the wealth – just submit the order form by Friday.
