This Tuesday, Union Hall presents the next installment of Adult Education, the $5-a-pop monthly lecture series that is “devoted to making useless knowledge somewhat less useless.” November’s presentation is all about Crime & Punishment- a topic that was as entertaining to Shakespeare’s audiences as it is to fans of Dexter or Breaking Bad today. Presentations will include a talk by New York Magazine editor Geoffrey Gray about the subject of his best-selling book SKYJACK: The Hunt for D.B. Cooper, a discussion of “The Evolution and Domestication of the Common Superhero,” and an examination of China’s police state by Deadspin blogger and Slate contributor Tom Scocca.
