If you’re still looking for great comedy that feature female standups (without the oft-lamented, ‘Am I right, ladies?’) then this is the event you’ve been looking for. A free night of stand-up hosted by Giulia Rozzi and Brooke Van Poppelen (who surprisingly, aren’t characters on Gossip Girl, but have appeared and written for VH1, MTV, Comedy Central, and BUST, and have also been twice nominated for ECNY Awards as “Best Female Stand-Up”), it makes its bimonthly appearance at Freddy’s (now a full year into its super-cool new location in the Slope), supported by local musicians and general awesomeness. Oh yeah, and it’s free. A case of the Mondays is no excuse.
