The Tower of Brooklyn

By

If there were a soundtrack to the construction boom of the past few years, it might sound, and look like BAM’s world premiere of Brooklyn Babylon, which brings together two artists for a visual and sonic parable about urban ambition and excess. As graphic artist Danijel Zezelj paints live onstage alongside his own projected animations–of the world’s largest tower, built in a not-so-far-fetched, future Brooklyn–Grammy-nominated composer Darcy James Argue, with his steampunk-jazz big band Secret Society, scores the rise of this dystopian borough. Tickets are $20; it runs through Saturday Nov. 12.
